About Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin stings, flushes or reacts easily, often to products that suit everyone else. In most cases the cause is a weakened skin barrier rather than one 'bad' ingredient. These products focus on hydration, barrier support and daily protection, from Rs. 1,200 with cash on delivery across Pakistan.
The rules for sensitive skin
- Fewer products, not more. A short routine gives your skin less to react to.
- Patch test everything. Apply a little behind the ear or on the jaw for two to three days before using it on your face.
- Introduce one product at a time, waiting about two weeks before adding the next.
- Lukewarm water only. Hot water strips the barrier.
A calm routine for sensitive skin
| Step | Product | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Hydrate | 2% Hyaluronic Acid Serum | Draws water into the skin with no exfoliation and no irritation; suits reactive skin |
| Moisturize | Oil Free Daily Moisturizing Lotion | Ceramides and hyaluronic acid to rebuild the barrier |
| Protect | Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 50 | Daily broad-spectrum SPF; UV is a common trigger for redness |
Face wash for sensitive skin
Choose a mild, non-foaming or low-foam cleanser and wash for no more than 30 seconds. Our Skin Brightening Cleanser contains gentle brightening actives, so patch test it first and use it once a day to start. If your skin is very reactive, a creamy hydrating cleanser from our cleansers range is the gentler choice.
Moisturizer and sunscreen for sensitive skin
A barrier-supporting moisturizer is the most important product you'll use. Apply it to slightly damp skin, morning and evening. Sunscreen comes next: sun exposure is one of the most common triggers for redness and stinging, so wear SPF every day, even indoors near windows.
Go slowly with actives
Exfoliating acids and retinol are not off-limits, but start at a low frequency once your barrier feels calm, for example the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution once a week. If redness lasts more than an hour, stop and let your skin recover.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best moisturizer for sensitive skin?
One with ceramides and hyaluronic acid and no harsh actives. The Oil Free Daily Moisturizing Lotion is Rs. 2,000 for 237 ml.
Which sunscreen is suitable for sensitive skin?
A broad-spectrum SPF you'll wear daily. Patch test first; the Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 50 is lightweight and non-comedogenic.
Why does my skin sting when I apply products?
Usually a damaged barrier. Simplify your routine to cleanser, moisturizer and SPF for two to three weeks, then reintroduce products one at a time.
When should I see a dermatologist?
If redness, burning or bumps persist despite a gentle routine, or you suspect rosacea or eczema, a dermatologist can identify the cause.
